The framework underlying Project VAIN (Voice Avatar Image Node) relied on the current communication concerns and involves a range of areas from rituals of communication, sociology theories of interaction, psychology and self-identity as well as the impact of technology in human communication. The structure it rests itself upon on is one of the MA Design Studies course (Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design), combining elements of diverse disciplines to create and engage in new concepts, testing these through a series of artifacts that serve as the embodiment of the concept or idea. The issues are addressed to raise awareness, propose solutions to current social and/or commercial concerns.
